- As of my own understanding of gw2 mechanics/meta right now, i cant see why maurader isnt present as the main or secondary choice for amulet using this build. My Decision for marauder factors on the low health pool vs meta condi scourge.
- The equipment must have an Upgrade Slot to accept a component, and most upgrade components require the item to be above a certain level. Upgrade components grant bonuses (such as increased attributes or effects added to attacks) while wielding that piece. Some upgrades have special cosmetic effects.
- Infusions are a type of upgrade component that go into infusion slots, which can be found on all ascended and legendary equipment except amulets, as well as in a few exotic back items and an exotic ring.
Amulets are trinkets with a unique slot in the trinket section of hero panel's equipment tab. Amulets provide the largest attribute bonuses of the three types of trinkets, the other two being rings and accessories. Amulets have one upgrade slot that can accept jewels or universal upgrades.

In Guild Wars 2 there is no gear treadmill. Amulets, accessories, and rings with Soldier's stats. However, it does not have an upgrade slot and hence provides inferior stats compared to all other exotic backpieces. Note that the upgraded ascended version will have the same stat combination as. Ascended amulets are roughly 5% more powerful than their exotic equivalents. They cannot be crafted, but may be purchased and found as loot. Enrichment slots are present in all Ascended Amulets.
